Key Relationship Manager, BSG West | Western U.S.

KPSS, Inc., is an international, diverse company that is part of the Kao Corporation, a Japanese company specializing in the fields of cleanliness, beauty, health and chemicals with over 500 brands which include well known brands such as Biore, Jergens, John Frieda, Molten Brown, Kanebo and Phytomax.

As an affiliate of KPSS GmbH, a German manufacturer, our goal is to enhance the success of hair stylists around the world. We develop innovative ideas, international hair care and color brands, and distribute our products exclusively to salons. Stylist exclusively – paired with innovative products and services – are the basic elements that KPSS brands Goldwell and KMS California share.

As a Key Relationship Manager, BSG West (Western U.S.), you will partner with distributor field personnel to increase sales in market leader salons. In addition, you will be responsible to develop the maximum sales potential of existing market leader salons and acquire new market leader salons through the implementation of Salon Business Plans, resource management and consistent prospecting. You will work closely with KPSS Education Managers to maximize sales and education potential in market leaders.

We are interested in detail-oriented, organized individuals with previous sales experience who are self-starters. We seek individuals with strong marketing, writing and presentation skills, a demonstrated ability to reach and exceed goals, and who exhibit the highest level of integrity, honesty and ethical behavior in all dealings.

A Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, as is 5+ years experience in sales in consumer goods, with previous professional salon sales experience preferred. This position requires the ability to communicate verbally and written in a clear and concise manner to effectively communicate Business Plans to high profile customers, as well as interact appropriately and professionally with all types of personalities to build professional relationships. Selected candidates will be required to maintain a professional and well-groomed personal appearance that supports the professional image of KPSS. Basic software skills are required, with the ability to create and format documents in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. While most travel is local and/or regional, the position may require 30% to 75% travel within the U.S.
